A candidate who have previously completed formal and non-formal education and/or experiential learning can have their knowledge and skill recognised.
A candidate who previously studied on another study programme at another higher education institution or finished a short cycle higher education programme can have their previous completed study obligations recognised.
The knowledge and skills can be recognised if the content, scope and complexity of previous learning outcomes are similar to those in the study programme of the student.
Candidates/students apply for the recognition of knowledge and skills by submitting the Application for recognition of knowledge and skills and all supporting documents. Detailed procedures of the recognition process are described in the Regulations on recognition of knowledge and skills.
Before submitting the application students can have consultations for preparation of a portfolio with a consultant at the Student Affairs Office.
The fees for processing an application for recognition of formal education (exams passed at other higher education institutions) and non-formal educationa (seminars, courses) are determined in the UP Pricelist:
Candidates who have already completed courses with content included in the prerequisite courses during previous studies, can apply for an evaluation of the admission criteria. The application has to be sent to the Committee for recognition of knowledge and skills. Relevant documents (eg. course syllabus) must be enclosed to the application.
