Interesting Lectures within the T4EU Project: Connecting for Sustainability and Innovation

The University of Primorska, as a member of T4EU (Transform4Europe), is actively participating in the Faculty Exchange Program in Corporate Innovation and Sustainability, supported by T4EU Seed Funding. The project connects the University of Primorska, the University of Trieste, and the University of Alicante, with the goal of strengthening collaboration between faculties and promoting research and teaching development in the fields of sustainability and innovation.

The first exchange took place on October 16 and 17, 2025, at the University of Alicante, where Dr. Anita Trnavčević from the University of Primorska delivered a guest lecture and met with local colleagues. The collaboration continued on November 10, 2025, when Dr. Trnavčević visited the University of Trieste and gave a lecture titled Sustainability Fatigue. Students responded to the topic with great interest and actively participated in the discussion, confirming the need for further projects and collaborations of this kind.

 

Just a day later, on November 11, 2025, the UP Faculty of Management hosted Dr. Rubina Romanello from the University of Trieste, who delivered a lecture on Industry 4.0. In her lecture, she spoke about advanced technologies and their impact on global business ecosystems, presenting how digital tools can contribute to responsible management, efficient use of resources, and value co-creation in an international environment. The Dean of the Faculty of Management, Prof. Dr. Tatjana Horvat, also welcomed all attendees.

  

On Thursday, November 13, 2025, Dr. Eduardo Sanchez Garcia and Dr. Javier Martinez Falco from the University of Alicante gave a lecture on sustainable development to students in the higher education program at our faculty. They shared their insights on how organizations can integrate innovation, digital transformation, and customer experience into their strategies to achieve long-term sustainability and competitiveness. They particularly emphasized the role of innovation in strengthening stakeholder relationships, fostering adaptability, and creating both economic and social value through targeted, sustainable strategies.
